Alchemy
![]() "If food is medicine, when will you no longer be sick?"
Alchemy is the art of transformation. Where form and formless meet, we learn to develop our uniqueness as human beings and begin the path of inner alchemy. Meaning "from the blackness", alchemy is the realization of the mysterious dark matter of modern science (Taoist call it void) of the quantum universe inside a human body... tea alchemy involves a tea pot. To properly practice tea alchemy, one must have deep understanding of the Taoist internal arts, these secret arts open the possibilities within the tea to us. Your life, tea plants, our whole world is a rare gem formed under special circumstances in the universe only once in a billion chances. To penetrate this mysterious reality we live in, the student must be committed to achieving her highest potential without knowing what that is: Lao Tzu said, "those that do not trust, will not be trusted". Students of alchemy must relinquish all beliefs and submit to oblivion so as to discover the indestructible hidden within. Every aspect of Kungfu tea ceremony was created by true masters who were not separate from nature. The tea pot, made of 5 pieces is literally made of the 5 elements or WuXing. The pot, which resembles the body, receives the Tao of Heaven and pours out yin and yang. When we no longer grasp for life's transient features, then we begin to experience tea alchemy. Alchemy is experienced beyond the reach of the five robbers: sight, smell, taste, touch and sounds. To experience the spirit of Tao one breaks the barriers between past, present and future. Tao leads a person to become truly human, like the ancients while being new, this is called the primordial. One who masters Tao becomes a participant in evolution, this is the way of our ancient human ancestors.
