Our Gongfu Tea Ceremonies
Our tea ceremonies are based on thousands of years of Taoist tradition, steeped in the mysteries of old tea masters and blended with the forces of nature. Every moment is an experience that is beyond the reaches of time and the limits of location. We journey through the tea leaf to the misty mountains, majestic rivers, and windswept valleys of China's renown tea growing regions.
At every tea ceremony we stress the importance of the elements that bring life to the world. Only the finest water is used to brew tea leaves rarely enjoyed here in the west. Abundance is the theme of the ceremony, as every cup is emptied it is returned to full. This cycle of yin-yang repeats itself throughout the evening as we experience teas that balance the organs, ease the emotions and sooth our spirits. Imagine a 2 hour massage for your organs that expels toxins and stimulates metabolism like running a marathon in your chair! I like to call it Chinese sweat lodge. Many report experiences of improved sleep, better digestion, reduction of pain and resolution of old ailments.
With every cup, the grip of the world and it's issues dissolve into a feeling of blissful emptiness. Some find they loose complete track of time and feel as though many hours have passed. As the tea flows effortlessly through the body, poisons are flushed from our tissues and our cells begin to sing. Small snacks are eaten as we finish up and the body calls us back from deep within our inner landscape. On many occasions a select few linger around the steam of the kettle even as the tea pots are put away... they will become the latest who receive the title "TEA DRUNK". We'll be seeing them again.
We invite you to join us for a tea ceremony at your convenience. We are now located in the majestic Smokey mountains of Stackhouse VIllage, North Carolina adjacent to Hotsprings.
